This polyphonic narrative focuses on people who were assigned female at births experiences of both being violent and experiences of violence. Staged in surreal group therapy setting, you are invited to witness exploration of healing through re-enactment of scenes of violence and joy, as five players take turns to direct and re-enacted scenes. Their faces are obscured as they shift roles, and offer their own vantage points to the witness. The piece is the search for making sense of personal experiences, exploring the binary of victim and perpetrator, the archetype of female a carer and nurture and finding place for these contradictions. It is a live action single shot audio visual performative piece create specifically for a virtual reality. The viewer is placed at the centre and guided by a powerful female storyteller. The actions play out in beautiful ornate multi layered 360 set design created in real life working and 3D inserts of everyday objects | ||

Small Acts Of Violence immerses you in a narration of incomplete stories and fading tableaus on the entanglement of love, pleasure and non consensual violence.
